Welcome to the new Warren Park Youth Baseball League
The Fourth of July has arrived, and the season is nearing its end. We'd like to take this opportunity to be in touch with you to let you know about end-of-the-season events, as well as to take stock of how far we've come in this exciting 2009 season for WPYBL.
First off, please mark your calendars: --Each division, except for t-ball, will have a post-season tournament. The tournament will run from July 21 to July 29. We will be posting a schedule in the next few days. --Our annual league banquet will be Saturday, August 1st at 10am (in the field behind the fieldhouse). Second, we'd like to thank all of you, parents and especially coaches, for your wonderful work in making this such a successful season so far. We couldn't do this without your support--- and your labor. Joe Perona Robert Johnston

The drop of the bat is the difference between the length minus the weight. For example, if a bat is 33" long and it weighs 30 ounces, then the drop is -3.
Most bats are labled, but if you're purchasing a bat some subtraction may be required. Example: A bat 30 inches and 18 ounces or heavier is legal but a bat 30 inches and 17 ounces or lighter is not.
Bat Drop Rules by League:TBall--no restrictions
Rookie and Coach Pitch: Maximum 2-1/4 barrel... NO max on drop. Minor: Maximum 2-1/4 inch barrel. Maximum drop -12. Major: Maximum 2-5/8 inch barrel. Maximum drop -3.
