What is the Intermediate Division?

Warren Park's Intermediate Division, formerly known as Majors, provides a competitive and supportive environment for players to advance their baseball skills.  The Intermediate Division introduces players to more advanced gameplay, featuring a 50/70 diamond, where the pitching distance is 50 feet and the base paths are 70 feet apart. This setup helps young athletes develop their skills in pitching, fielding, and base-running while also adapting to a slightly larger field size. The Intermediate Division is a critical stage for players to build confidence and experience before transitioning to the standard-sized field played on by high school, college and professional teams.

Who is the Intermediate Division For?

For the 2025 season, the age range for the Intermediate Division expanded to cover players ages 11-13 as of 08/31. The Intermediate Division season runs from mid-April through the end of June. Each team generally has 1 practice and 2 games each week.  Games are scheduled for 6 innings, and are completed in approximately than 2 hours.  At the end of the season all teams participate in a playoff tournament, held the last week in June.

Registering a Player for the Intermediate Division

You can register your player for the Intermediate Division by clicking the link at the bottom of this page during the open registration period, which runs December 1 - March 1 each year.  If your player wants to be on the same team as their friends, or on a specific coach's team, you will have the opportunity to request that on the registration form; however, team rosters in the Intermediate Division are constructed through a draft process so your player is not guaranteed to be on the same team as their preferred coach and/or teammates.
